Calendar of Seasons: A Cycle of Days, Moons and Trees

April

Tempus vernum—springtime. This is a month of dewy mornings and frequent showers that coax the flowers from the bosom of Mother Earth. Leaves are coming onto the trees, and the world is nourished by heavenly rains. Brilliant sunny mornings can give way to blustery, rainy afternoons. Water is important in this season to nourish the things that are only beginning to grow. From water we are born, with water we are nourished.

Moon of the Waters
Life is bursting fourth with renewed vigor, and the earth is turning many shades of lush green. Each rain shower seems to bring more plants and trees to life. In the moonlight the softness of spring becomes a shimmering pool of life-force energy that feeds our bodies and souls.

Other names for this moon: Seed Moon, Grass Moon, Rain Moon.
